The Black Infant and Maternal Health Initiative (BIMHI) works to improve the health of Black/African American mothers, babies, and children in Kern County. BIMHI consists of local agencies, nonprofits, and community members. In 2025, we created a three-year strategic plan to share information, support families, and improve health outcomes.
